Music plays an important role in worshipping God. Every redemptive act of God calls for praise and adoration and in its most beautiful expression, this is offered through song. The bible says, "O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvelous things". There are two major things that are important for someone who sings praises unto the Lord in song. First of all, he or she must experience God's saving grace and be born again of the spirit of God. Secondly, they must understand the place of music in the life of the believer and in the worship experience in the church. An anointed song can change the atmosphere, lift the spirit of heaviness, and bring forth deliverance.

God has ordained a specific connection between musical instruments, worship, and prophecy, which David understood. 1Chr 25:1David, together with the commanders of the army, set apart some of the sons of Asaph, Hemna, and Jeduthun for ministry of prophesying, accompanied by harps, lyres, and cymbals.... Those in any music ministry across the body of Christ should seek to fully understand praise and worship, so that you will experience the fullness of what God has called us to as ministers of music. The only way we will understand this is by asking God to reveal it to us through his word. It is our prayer that as you seek to go higher in Lord, that he reveal his Glory and his purpose for your voices, and your music, and that you will make a difference in the body of Christ!
